Mr. and Mrs. Efiong Nkereuwem on Sunday, the 16th of October 2016 took their new-born baby, Master Okike Effiong to church, for a dedication service.
The event, which took place at Methodist Church of Nigeria (MCN), Abiakpo Ikot Essien Assembly in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area was officiated by The Rev. Emmanuel Inyang. The Priest enjoined parents to always endeavour to train up their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Speaking on the sermon titled ‘the rules of the game’, the Reverend took his text from Genesis chapter 1 verse 16 to 17, 2Timothy chapter 3 verse 16 to 17 and Exodus chapter 15 verse 26, where he charged the congregation that obtaining anything from the Lord requires continuous prayers.

It is worth noting that Methodist Church Nigeria has her mission briefly set out as “to consistently win more souls for Christ, develop spiritually fulfilled members and remain very active in serving humanity”. The dedication service came to an end at about 1.45pm
Akwa Ibom State University rejoices with the parents and wishes Master Okike Effiong Nkereuwem long life and many more year of prosperity and good health.
