If this election cycle has taught us anything, it might be that we are going to really miss the Obamas. Sure, it’s natural for an end-of-term president to receive a boon in approval ratings amid election vitriol and nostalgia for his own outgoing administration. But the Obamas, as a couple, are an especially golden pair. Incredibly smart, dedicated to doing good, and consistently frank about work-life balance, they are role models through and through. And it’s evident that their relationship has been an ongoing source of strength for each of them.
Today, the President and First Lady celebrate their twenty-fourth wedding anniversary. So in honor of the occasion, we’re looking back at some of the couple’s sweetest moments together. From their early romance and wedding, to campaign trail stops and inaugurations, Barack and Michelle have always been the definition of #relationshipgoals. But it’s their more intimate moments during his presidency - whether at a state dinner or simply sharing an embrace - that have pulled at our heartstrings most.
