This is to inform all students of Faculty of Agriculture that the 2016 NAAS week has been approved by relevant authorities to hold from Monday 7th November to Friday 11th November, 2016. The NAAS week shall endeavor to create an aura of creativity for the students of Faculty of Agriculture to showcase their potentials. Students shall be engaged in several competitions and interested contestants should pick forms with the following prices from relevant authorities for the following categories of competition:
PAGEANTRY CEREMONY (Mr./Mrs. NAAS 2016)
Male category -
Female category -
All contestants are expected to send their pictures after the purchase of their forms to email@example.com for the first phase of the contest.
All students of Faculty of Agriculture that are interested for the essay competition are expected to write an essay of not more than 3000 words on the topic “AGRICULTURAL STUDENTS; A PANACEA FOR SUSTAINABLE ECONOMY DIVERSIFICATION AND FOOD SUFFICIENCY”.
All essays should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org in either a doc or docx file format. The first three winners shall be selected for a price.
There shall be an inter-departmental debate competition on the topic “Some agricultural sub-fields are the most important in agricultural production”. The debaters shall speak in favour of their departments and against all other departments. All departmental presidents should ensure that their departments are well represented.
N/B: They shall be four debaters for each department.
NAAS WAKA/CARNIVAL FLOAT
There shall be a carnival float during the NAAS week and all students of Faculty of Agriculture are expected to participate in the #Naaswaka and by this should ensure that they purchase the NAAS polo at the rate of
N1,500 (one thousand five hundred naira
only). All payments should be made to relevant authorities. The polo shall be
delivered on order.
AGRICULTURAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
There shall be an agriculture awareness campaign during the week where NAASites shall reach out to the rural farmers with the aim of giving them the necessary information needed in their agricultural production.
There shall be an inter-departmental football competition and a solidarity football match between the Faculty of Agriculture and faculty of Social and Management Sciences. All departmental directors of sports are expected to meet with the Faculty director of sports for way forward, planning and actualization.
The official Timetable for the week shall be published on all notice boards as soon. It is by this notice that I hereby urge all the students of Faculty of Agriculture to be of best behaviour and maintain peace/orderliness throughout the stipulated period and participate in all the activities that will take place within the week.
