Adekunle Ajasin Varsity Lecturers Suspends Strike, Resumption Date Announced


The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA)  have today suspended its indefinite strike which lasted some 97 days. Students should resume immediately for the remaining part of the Second Semester 2015/2016 academic session as lectures will commence on Monday, 17th October, 2016

The Vice Chancellor has, on behalf of the Senate, approved that students should resume immediately for the remaining part of the Second Semester 2015/2016 academic session as lectures will commence on Monday, 17th October, 2016. This directive is sequel to the suspension of the strike action embarked upon by the Adekunle Ajasin University Chapter of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) since July, 2016.

Students living on campus are expected to check into their respective halls of residence immediately. All staff and students of AAUA are advised to be guided accordingly.
