N-Power Assessment Process, Timetable and other details


No fewer than a million Nigerian undergraduates who have applied online for the N-Power programme of the Federal Government will now be assessed in order to pick the final 500,000 for the two-year volunteer positions.

All those that applied for the Federal Government's N-Power programme are hereby informed that the next stage of the process will involve an on-line assessment. The selection process proper will take place thereafter. The assessment will be done according to each programme and in phases. 

The assessment schedule is as found below:
(1) N-Power Teach - Test will take place between 20th September and 28th September 2016
(2) N-Power Agro - Test will take place between 29th September and 1st October 2016
(3) N-Power Health  - Test will take place between 2nd October and 3rd October 2016
(4) N-Power Community Education - Test will take place between 4th October and 6th October 2016
(5) N-Power Creative - Test will take place between 7th October and 9th October 2016
(6) N-Power Tech (Software) - Test will take place between 10th October and 12th October 2016
(7) N-Power Tech (Hardware) - Test will take place between 13th October 2016 and 14th October 2016
(8) N-Power Build - Test will take place between 15th October and 18th October 2016

Please note that you can only gain access to your profile for assessment as represented in the schedule. The schedule breaks down applicants in batches by their surnames. 

Applicants for the N-Power Teach programme will be first in line. Starting on Tuesday, 20th September, 2016, applicants whose surnames fall between the alphabets V-Z (e.g. Vera, Wilson, Xiaver, Young, Zebb) should log in and take their assessments. The schedule for each programme is represented below:


A personal profile has been opened for every applicant. Log in to your personal profile (https://portal.npower.gov.ng/testing/login/index.php) by supplying your phone number and surname as contained in your application.

In addition, you will be notified by SMS of your assessment the day before your assessment is due. Your assessment will include some personal questions and other questions testing basic knowledge of English, General Knowledge and Quantitative Reasoning. There are other programme-specific questions depending on the programme that you have applied for.

Applicants can take their tests on a smart-phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer provided that these devices have internet connection. Successful applicants will be selected to participate in the N-Power programme. Please note that selection will be done in phases nationwide.
